The legacy of Ustadh Salem Azzam is one decorated with concern for the various causes of the Ummah and the adoption of the plights and struggles of Muslims across the world as Ustadh Salem’s primary occupation. This section aims to illustrate and present some of the efforts of Ustadh Salem and the Islamic Council in defending the rights of Muslims, representing their causes, expressing their aims and aspirations, and attempting to bring to account those in power in a plethora of countries for over 20 years. From Bosnia to Tanzania, Yemen to Morocco, Britain to Sudan, readers will be able to appreciate some of the efforts of the Islamic Council in being the voice of a voiceless Ummah and hopefully readers will feel inspired to take up the mantle of the Islamic Council’s legacy in understanding the struggles of the Muslim Ummah and attempting to give victory to oppressed Muslims the World over, insha’Allah.
