Liberation of Muslim Lands (1979)

Between the 24-27th May 1979 the International Islamic Conference for the Liberation of Muslim Lands was subsequently convened. This conference focussed on appreciating the contemporary Islamic awakening and how to consolidate it, outline its implications and its impact on the international relations of Muslims. Speeches by scholars, statesmen and representatives of the global Islamic movement were paired with deliberations on the issues of the Muslim world. The conference passed a variety of resolutions in relation to liberating Muslim lands, the persecution of Muslims and denouncing the biased and hostile reporting about Islam and Muslims by Western Media.
